About my Practice
About Me
I am an American, living in France since 2009. I have a background in theatre and teaching. My professional careers include international educational travel, acting, and teaching. In addition to being a psycho practitioner, I have taught for over a decade in the private French tertiary system, teaching theatre, public presentation, gender studies, psychology, and sociology.
It’s been a long-time desire of mine to help people through psycho-therapy, and there was nothing like COVID to give me the push to dedicate myself to education and training. My therapy practice is budding and it would be an honor and privilege to work with you.
My Approach
Relational Intelligence® (IR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I have an MSc in Psychology from Brunel University London, am trained (and continuing education) in Relational Intelligence®, and am informed by the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, empathetic, and transformative space for my clients
At the core of my practice is the Relational Intelligence® model, a therapeutic modality that emphasizes the relational dynamics between the therapist and the client, as well as within the client themselves. This approach is particularly effective in addressing complex psychological trauma and attachment disorders. By leveraging recent neuroscience insights on attachment and neuroplasticity, I help clients navigate and resolve their inner conflicts and relational difficulties.
Key Elements of My Approach:
Compassionate and Non-Judgmental Environment: I believe in the power of a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic space. My goal is to ensure that every client feels heard, understood, and respected, regardless of their background or experiences.
Self-Regulation and Co-Regulation: I create conditions for both self-regulation and co-regulation, fostering a therapeutic environment where clients can safely explore and heal their emotional wounds.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): My practice is informed by the IFS model, which involves working with different parts of the self to achieve healing and integration. This includes unblending parts from the Self, systemic work, and unburdening through memory reconsolidation.
Attachment and Neuroplasticity: Utilizing principles from polyvagal theory, I address attachment disorders by creating a secure relational space that allows for the healing of wounded parts and the development of healthy attachment patterns.
