Therapy Sessions: Online, at the Beach, or in the Forest

For your convenience and safety, most therapy sessions are conducted online. Online therapy has been shown to be highly effective, providing the same level of support and therapeutic benefit as in-person sessions. This allows you to receive support from the comfort of your own home, ensuring accessibility regardless of your location. To make the most of your online therapy experience, please ensure you have a high-quality internet connection and a private, distraction-free space for our sessions.

However! I live in the Bassin d’Arcachon, a gorgeous corner of France offering vast beaches, and accessible forest. If being out in nature is your thing (or you just want to try it), let’s explore the power of connecting our inner and outer selves with nature. We will assure a location sufficiently private and adapted to your comfort.

My maternal language is English, but I also speak French. I have trained and practiced therapy in French, and while I’m more comfortable conducting therapy in English, I am more than willing to conduct therapy in French if you are ok with my accent and a bit of clumsiness and looking for my words ;).

Session Duration and Frequency

Sessions typically last between 60 to 90 minutes. The frequency and duration of sessions can be adjusted based on your individual needs and therapeutic goals. We will work together to find a schedule that best supports your healing journey.

Fees and Payment Methods

At this time I’m offering introductory fees that will change in the future. Please fill out the contact form, mentioning if you want an online or in person out door session, and for how many minutes.

Current Fee Structure:

  • 30 Minutes initial consultation - FREE

  • 60 minutes - 50 euros

  • 90 minutes - 60 euros

  • Janzu - Donation with 20 euro minimum

Payments can be made via cash, credit/debit card, or bank transfer. Please discuss any specific payment concerns with me directly, and we can find a solution that works for you.

Insurance Coverage

My services are not covered by the French social security structure and fall under private services. While I have a Master’s degree in Psychology from the UK, and it is recognized as a Master’s degree and level 7 education in France and Europe, I do not have the French title psychologist or psychotherapist. Therefore, I do not have an ADELI number that allows clients to be reimbursed through French Social Security or Mutuelle.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes appointments need to be rescheduled or canceled. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur the full fee. This policy helps ensure that I can offer timely appointments to all clients.

Video References

To support your understanding of the therapeutic models I use, here are some helpful video references. Please note that while the scientific support for Polyvagal Theory is debated, aspects of the model offer a powerful framework or lens from which to approach nervous system regulation. Scientific and empirically supported methods are important to ensure safety and effectiveness. I am careful to make the difference between what is science, and what is a practical therapeutic framework, all the while embracing that we still know relatively little about the complex interconnectedness of the mind, brain, emotions, and bodily experiences.
